Road Safety Project

With over 32000 accidents in London per year, 4500 being serious and 250 being fatalities, this has lead to a move to attempt to educate the population in being road aware and safe. Last years 10 of fatalities in London were of Turkish origin. Hence this project, together with the Department Of Transport and Metropolitan Police we have been working on a campaign which targets the Turkish Population through leafleting, video campaign, newspaper articles, speaking at community groups-schools, and considering new initiatives which reduce the level of road accidents and therefore injuries and deaths.  We hope this will go a long way to re-educating many drivers and pedestrians who use mobile phones when driving, who drive to fast, are not road aware and drink and drive.
