Overview of the development of TCCA
As the Co-ordinator, I have had the privilege to witness a period of strong growth and development for TCCA. During the financial year, we have settled into 628-630 Green Lanes and now operate from two premises. We now employ over 85 staff, ranging from part time carers to full time managers.
Our turnover is around £1.5 million with over 10% of our income coming from new funders. Throughout the year, we have developed some extremely important partnerships which we are confident, will lead to new projects and new premises. The most dramatic changes for 2004-05, however, have been the organisations extent of new work, ranging from one off community events to the organisation’s highly profiled Heritage Project.
As an agency, we currently register ten active projects and this continues to grow. The profile of the organisation has also changed from being a key provider in the field of care and news to the development of needs led community based projects which take into consideration linguistic, cultural and religious barriers experienced by Turkish speakers in being able to access services.
Finally I would like to thank all the staff of TCCA, without whose work none of this would have been possible, the commitment of the Management committee who have proficiently steered the organisation to its current position, the membership, who provide the basis for the organisation work and finally the funder's for their financial support. Entering 2005-06, the organisation now enjoys a position as being the largest of all Turkish-speaking charities in the UK.

OUR MISSION
We strive to serve the Turkish-speaking community in the UK by providing numerous services. These include an Advice and Information Service, Social Care, Counselling, Employment, Training, Mentoring for young people and a weekly bilingual community newspaper. But we recognise that a community's needs are constantly changing, and so too we must change.
Recognising developments within our own community with whom we have contact, the TCCA will with time create new projects to offer help to the most deprived corners of our community in order to assist them to improve their lives for the short and long term and to contribute to wider society.
