Membership

The charity’s objectives (“the objects”) are to advance charitable purposes for the public benefit in London, and in particular, for those who are Turkish Cypriot or of Turkish Cypriot descent. This will be accomplished by advancing education, assisting those who are in conditions of poverty, sickness, or distress, and protecting and preserving health. This objective will further be accomplished by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for the recreation, and other leisure–time occupations, of those members of the public who have need of such facilities by reason of their social or economic circumstances, and furthering such other charitable purposes, as the Charity’s Trustees may decide from time to time.

Any person over the age of 18, who is of Turkish Cypriot decent or married to a Turkish Cypriot can apply for membership of the organisation and the TCCA positively welcomes applications. Each application needs to ratify by the trustees before application is ratified. Presently membership rate is £0, however the organisation has the right to incorporate a membership fee of up to £10. TCCA currently has 276 members and a further 632 associates (who are users, hirers, and those with an interest however not wishing to become members).
